Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)

Introduction

Anglo-Chinese School (ACS) was founded by Methodist Bishop William Fitzjames Oldham in 1886 with the purpose of nurturing students to be of service “for God and Humanity”. The school is one of the first in Singapore to become independent and was subsequently named ACS (Independent). The first cohort of IB diploma students graduated with excellent results in 2007. Each cohort since then has maintained the high standards set by their seniors and continue to perform exceedingly well.

Academic Results

In the 2024 IBDP, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)’s Class of 2024 comprising 452 students achieved 100% passes at the November 2024 International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Examination. Of these 452 students, 356 (79%) obtained 40 points and above, while 267 students (59%) achieved a score of between 42 to 45 points. This set of results saw the school achieving an average score of 41.2 points.
