General audit requirements

All legal entities (including limited liability companies, registered partnerships, branches, representative offices, regional offices, or joint ventures of foreign companies) must prepare financial statements for each accounting period. These financial statements must be certified and opinionated by an authorized registered auditor.

Annual submission obligation

After completing their audited financial statements, companies must submit them to the Thai Revenue Department and the Business Registry for filing each fiscal year.

Exemption for certain micro and small enterprises

Thai law offers audit exemptions for registered partnerships of certain sizes. If a registered partnership has a registered capital of less than 5 million baht, total revenue of no more than 30 million baht, and total assets of no more than 30 million baht, its financial statements do not require mandatory auditing by an authorized auditor.
