GCE A Level
Introduction
The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) examination is an annual national examination that is taken by school and private candidates, in Singapore. Each subject is graded from A (highest) to U, with each letter grade corresponding to a specific number of rank points (RP). Starting from 2026, the total score, capped at 70, is calculated by adding the RP from three core H2 subjects and General Paper (GP). The contrasting subject is included only if it improves the applicant’s overall score.
