Introduction

The Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) is for international students seeking admissions to Primary 2 to 5 and Secondary 1 to 3 in the following academic year.

Test Subjects & Timeline
Test Subject: English + Math
Test Frequency: Twice a year
AEIS (Main): Registration from 9-23 July, Tests conducted from 1-5 Sep, Results in Dec, Start of School in Jan
S-AEIS (Supplementary): Registration in Jan, Tests conducted in March, Results in Apr, Enrolment in Apr/May

Registration Procedure & Required Documents

  1. Create your child’s CP account and submit an online application in the CP.
  2. Upload JPEG/PDF files of:
    • Birth Certificate (with English translation)
    • Passport (with a validity of ≥ 6 months) bio-data page
    • Photo (JPEG/PNG, 410×514 px)
    • Statement of results for CEQ (taken within the last 12 months)
    • Additional documents as required
  3. Payment of fees through credit/debit cards or PayNow
    • AEIS Primary: $340
    • AEIS Secondary: $630
    • Fees do not include GST and are non-refundable

Test Structure

Mathematics Test

  • Total Score of 80
  • Part 1 (25mins): Multiple-Choice (29 Questions)
  • Part 2 (40mins): Short-Answer (17 Questions)

Mathematics Test

  • Total Score of 70
  • Part 1 (35mins): Multiple-Choice (30 Questions)
  • Part 2 (50mins): Short-Answer (8 Questions) & Open-Ended (6 Questions)

Mathematics Test

  • Total Score of 100
  • Part 1 (30mins): Multiple-Choice (34 Questions)
  • Part 2 (1h45mins): Short-Answer (20 Questions) & Open-Ended (10-15 Questions)

English Test

  • Total Score of 100
  • Part 1: Essay
    Secondary 1 – Choose 1 out of 2 topics set
    Secondary 2 & 3 – Choose 1 out of 4 topics set
  • Part 2: Comprehension (15 Questions), Comprehension Cloze (15 Questions), Vocabulary (10 Questions), Grammar (10 Questions)
